Welcome back to The Growth Spec $, the diary of a future holding company CEO.

We’re taking a break from Ask The Growth Spec $ this week. We will resume it in 2 weeks (we already have a few questions for the next installment).

Now on to the reason for this update post.

A while back we had published a post about The Growth Spec $ Investment Strategy, if you haven’t read it then you can read it here:

As mentioned in the above post, investing is a continuous learning process. Our strategy will continue to evolve as we gain new insights and refine our approach. With that in mind, we have decided to add a 7th category to The Growth Spec $ Investment Strategy:

Global Equity Funds 🌍

At a high level, global equity funds are investment vehicles that hold shares in companies from across the world.

These funds provide exposure to a wide range of industries, economies, and currencies, allowing investors to participate in global growth opportunities while maintaining broad diversification. The reason for adding this category is simple: access.

As UK-based investors, there are many excellent companies around the world that we cannot easily invest in directly due to market access limitations, trading restrictions, or availability through UK platforms.

By adding global equity funds as a category, we can gain exposure to businesses and markets that may have previously been outside our reach.

Ultimately, we recognised that our strategy was missing opportunities by focusing only on companies we could directly own. Rather than ignore these opportunities, we decided to adapt our approach. Its a small change, but one that we believe improves the flexibility and completeness of our investment strategy.
